Your client area and the Control Panel

Updated 1 hour ago 3 views

Everything about your services with us is in the client area at client.maplegrovehosting.com: your orders, invoices and support tickets, and the Control Panel for your web and email hosting and the domains you registered with us.

Opening the Control Panel

Sign in to the client area and choose Control Panel in the menu on the left. It lists your hosting services and, below them, your domains; click one to manage it. You can also open it from the service itself: Services, the hosting or domain order, then Open Control Panel (or Login to Control Panel on a hosting order).

The Control Panel menu item appears once you have a web or email hosting service or a domain registered with us. If you expected it and do not see it, contact us.

What you find in it

The top of a hosting service's panel shows your domain, your plan and how much of it you use: disk space, databases, email accounts, forwarders and the state of your HTTPS certificate. Below are tiles, grouped by topic:

Group Tiles
Email Email accounts, Forwarders, Connect a device, Deliverability, Mail log, Webmail
Websites Domains and sites, SSL/TLS, Error logs, PHP settings
Files and databases SFTP and SSH keys, MySQL databases, phpMyAdmin
Domains and DNS Domain registrations, DNS records, DNS check
Account Requests

You only see the tiles your plan includes: an email-only plan has no Websites group, for example.

Your domains

The Domains list on the Control Panel's first page shows every domain you registered or transferred with us, with its expiry date. A domain that expires within 30 days is flagged, and Pay renewal appears when its renewal invoice is waiting. Open shows the domain's own page:

  • Registration: expiry date, name servers, WHOIS privacy and the transfer lock
  • DNS records: the domain's records, when we host its DNS (see Manage your DNS records)
  • DNS check: which name servers the domain uses right now
  • Name servers and contacts: the registration page, where you change them and can renew early

See Domain registration and renewal.

Good to know

  • One panel per service. If you have several hosting services, each has its own panel; each domain has its own page.
  • Read-only while suspended. If a service is suspended (for example because of an open invoice) you can still look, but not change anything until it is active again. See Renewals, suspension and cancellation.
  • Some changes are reviewed first. Email changes take effect at once; some changes to the web server go through a short review by our staff. See Requests: how changes to your hosting are made.
  • "Not connected yet". A new service is linked to the panel by our staff once it has been set up. Until then the panel says so instead of showing your sites or mailboxes.

If something in the panel does not look right, Getting help from our support team explains what to send us.
