Renewals, suspension and cancellation

Renewal

Services renew at the end of each billing period. An invoice for the next period is created in advance; once it is paid, the service continues without interruption. Services in the client area shows each service's next renewal date.

Suspension

If a renewal invoice stays unpaid after its due date, the service can be suspended:

  • your websites show a notice page instead of their content, and SFTP logins for the account are locked
  • the Control Panel stays available, but read-only: you can look, not change
  • nothing is deleted: your files, databases and email stay as they are

Pay the open invoice and the service is reactivated; it may take a short while until everything works again. Contact us if it does not.

Cancellation

To end a service, request its cancellation in the client area, from the service's page, or open a ticket. Please:

  • save what you need first: website files (SFTP), databases (phpMyAdmin export), and email (it stays on your devices if they use POP3, or copy it with your mail program)
  • move your domain's DNS first if the domain stays with you but its DNS is on our name servers, so your other services keep working
  • tell us if your domain is registered with us and you want to keep it: domain registration is a separate service

After a cancellation takes effect, the service's data is removed from our servers after a period. Contact us beforehand if you need more time.

Changing your plan

To move to a larger or smaller plan, or add email to a web hosting service, open a ticket or order the add-on in the client area. Your sites and mailboxes stay where they are.
