Applications we host for you in their own container, such as Bitwarden, are shown in the Container Apps Dashboard. You find it in the client area menu once you have such a service; customers with only web or email hosting use the Control Panel instead (see Your client area and the Control Panel).
What it shows and does
For each of your container apps:
- its address: the subdomain you chose when ordering, as a full web address; open it to use the app
- its status: running or paused
- the storage it uses and has available
and these actions:
- Pause stops the app; its data stays. Start runs it again.
- Reset sets the app up again from scratch. This can take a few minutes and its data may be lost: export what you need first (for Bitwarden: export your vault). Use it only when the app is broken and nothing else helps, or after contacting us.
When an app was just ordered
Setting up an app takes a few minutes after the order is activated: the address is registered, an HTTPS certificate is issued and the app is started. If it still does not open after half an hour, contact us.
If an app does not respond
- Check its status in the Container Apps Dashboard; if it is paused, press Start.
- Try again in a few minutes; apps can be restarted briefly during maintenance.
- Contact us with the app's address and what you see: Getting help from our support team.
Billing
Container apps renew like our other services: see Invoices and payments and Renewals, suspension and cancellation. A suspended app is not reachable until its invoice is paid; its data is kept.
